About
FiliTico begins his DJ journey in 2003 hosting a weekly Psytrance show, “The Beat Monger” at Owl Radio (Florida Atlantic University) in South Florida, USA. His position at the radio station soon allows him the opportunity to host Friday nights at club Ninety9 in Boca Raton and spin a couple gigs at the infamous Club Exit in Fort Lauderdale. After several impromptu gigs in abandoned warehouses and parks with some happy-go-lucky friends FiliTico opens for Astral Projection, icons of the Goa Trance World at “Blue” in North Miami in 2005. A year later he gets an offer he can’t refuse, to spin at Fort Lauderdale’s pirate station Radio Superstar until it closed in late 2006. In 2007, the major play took place during the Winter Music Conference at Ultra Music Festival’s Eco Village, something he repeated the next year playing at the UMF Collective.
After falling off the radar for a year or so, FiliTico resurfaces in Ecuador with a new style: deep, sexy and progressive at the Guayaquil Fashion Week in 2009 and joins forces with Levitium Records opening for Patrick M (Miami) and Aldo Cadiz (Chile) and playing with many of the local legends including George Levi and Jose Wated. In 2010, he spins at the Montañita Dance Music and Art festival opening for Seth Troxler, Argenis Brito and Miss Fits. He sneaks back into the USA to spin with old friends Jay Lara and Dan Polimeni in their Owl Radio show “Deep Therapy.” FiliTico is currently a resident DJ of the recently opened “Midi”, the first electronic music nightclub in Ecuador opening for Nico Cano (Argentina). Filitico is the founder of the “Colectivo Wayako,” a collective of Guayaquil based DJs and is currently focused on production for Pixel Tree Records.
